CLASS OF 2027

LHP Jase Wilkinson (Miller, 2027) came away as one of the biggest winners of the day from our trip to Carthage on Sunday. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound southpaw consistently sat towards the top end of his 84-86 mph range with his fastball, topping out at 86.7 mph on his firmest bullet. His fastball showed carry through the top of the zone (18” average IVB) with plenty more velocity to come as he continues to add strength and size to his frame. The sophomore also spun two distinct breaking balls with a curveball at 66-67 mph and a horizontal moving slider at 75-76 mph. He also turned over a changeup at 79-80 mph.

Delivery: Compact delivery, aggressive down the mound. High kick into coil, slight drop and drive into extension. Hard but controlled follow through.
Arm Action: LH. Hard, controlled overhand arm slot.
FB: T83, 81-83 mph. High spin, slight run but kept its plane generally. T2342, 2178 average rpm.
CB: 66-68 mph. 12-6 break, developing accuracy. T1891, 1858 average rpm.
CH: 76-76 mph. Low spin with fade. T1516, 1516 average rpm.
