10/28/18 - Johnson is a 6-foot-1 178-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Johnson has a quick arm speed, with smooth and controlled delivery, high three quarters slot, fastball has running action, 80-82 mph, comes out of the hand well, 12-to-6 action on curveball, sharp and late action, good pitch, 70-73 mph, throw change up at 71-74 mph, near fastball arm speed, slight arm side delivery, throws all pitches in the zone for strike, throws with regular effort.

2/16/18 - Johnson is a 6-foot 167-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 4.32 home to first and has an 84 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, efficient and smooth load, quick hands with level path, simple an repeatable swing, gap to gap approach.  In the outfield, 81 mph positional velocity, quick and loose arm action, takes ball outside of left foot, clean exchange with momentum through the catch, plays through the ball, athletic build with room to develop more strength. On the mound, Johnson comes from an over the top arm slot, works from the 1B side of the rubber, repeats delivery, body stays under control with loose arm action, fastball works 78-80 mph, breaking ball has gradual 11-to-5 shape, can throw for strikes, change up works at 74-75 mph, shows command, slight arm side sink, throws with near fastball arm speed.
