Parkland Scout Day: Five-foot-10, strong bodied righty sat 86-88 mph with his fastball. Fair life on the pitch. 3/4 slot with below avg extension out front. Loose arm. Fluid delivery. Repeats well, but will pull off at times. Also mixed in a 78-79 slider with longer break, limited tilt, but had a solid feel for the pitch. Should improve moving forward. Third pitch was a 81-82 mph changeup with some tail and tumble.

6/12/18 - Brown is a 5-foot-9 175-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class. Brown is a strike thrower with a four pitch mix, short over the top arm slot, smooth delivery, works in line down the mound, drop and drive type delivery, fastball at 79-81 mph, works on a downhill plane to both sides of the plate, heavy fastball, showed an 11-to-5 curveball and 10-to-4 slider, curveball has late break at 68-70 mph, slider at 70-72 mph, has feel for both with late and sharp movement, has command of a change up at 72-73 mph, strong build with pitch ability and command.

2/24/18 - Brown is a strong and well built 5-foot-9 175-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 4.40 home to first and has an 82 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, pre-pitch rhythm in hands, quick bat speed, high finish in hands, short in line stride, middle to pull side contact during hitting evals. On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, 78 mph positional velocity, quick to the ball with footwork, clean exchange with two quick shuffles in feet, quick exchange, mostly accurate throws with carry. On the mound, Brown has a simple and repeatable delivery, high three quarters arm slot, smooth acceleration down the mound, stays in line, keep hands high, body stays under control, fastball at 79-83 mph, curveball at 70-71, 11-to-5 shape, late and gradual break, change up at 70-73 mph, throws with fastball arm speed, showed command of fastball at the bottom of zone and showed ability to throw secondary pitchers for strikes
