Pingel threw mostly fastballs during his inning of work, sitting mostly 83-84 mph, works downhill with over the top release, throws with some effort, stride is slightly open at times, showed a 12-to-6 breaking ball at 79 mph, strong build, uses lower half well.He ran a 4.83 home to first and has a 92 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, no wasted movement, minimal load, gap-to-gap approach, hands control the bat head.  On the infield, 83 mph positional velo, over the top release, smooth glove to hand transfer, feet create momentum to throw, works behind the ball, accurate throws.
6/14/16 - PIngel is a 5-foot-11 165-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.74 home-to-first.  He has an 83 mph exit velo. At the plate, open stance, quick and level bat path, hard contact up the middle, flashes of pull power.  On the infield, 79 mph positional velo, over the top arm slot, quick to the ball, momentum through the catch, fluid transfer and release, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, He has a high three-quarters release, body under control, hands stay high to balance point, in line stride, throws with some effort, works quick between pitcher with consistent tempo in delivery, fastball at 77-83 mph, 12-to-6 curveball at 67-71mph.
1/31/16 - Pingel is a right-handed pitcher  and right-handed hitting third baseman from Francis Howell North HS. Pingel has a solid frame and build at 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds. The delivery has some rhythm, minimal effort and a high ¾ arm slot. There is some inconsistency with the finish of his lower half which makes his delivery tough to repeat at times. Fastball was thrown for a high percentage of strikes at 82-83 mph, with some action. Pingel struggled to get a feel for his changeup which was between 69-74 mph. Curveball displayed gradual action between 66-69 mph. At the plate, starts in a tall set up, short inline stride, line drives to mostly middle of the field.  On the infield, 77 mph positional velo, over the top release, quick catch and throw, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws.
