2015 2nd Team All-Conference
8/17/14 – Clark is a strong 6-foot-0, 200-pound left-handed pitcher. He comes from a ¾ arm slot. Stephen throws with some rhythm and easy effort. He had a fastball velocity range of 75-78 MPH with some run. His curveball was at 61-65 MPH with 1/7 tilt. Clark’s change-up ranged from 72-73 with near fastball arm speed and fade.
2/23/14 – Clark is a 6-foot, 185-pounds LHP.  Clark was in the strike zone with all three pitches showing a fastball at 80-82 MPH that was consistently down in the zone.  He throws a 2/8 curveball with a late, sharp break at 69-70 MPH and a change at 69-70 MPH with late sink.  He has a ¾ release and very repeatable mechanics that allowed him to spot up his pitches.  He throws with regular effort and a loose arm action.
2/23/14 – Clark is a 6-foot, 185-pound left handed hitting outfielder. Offensively, Clark posted a  79 MPH exit velo.  He has a gap-to-gap approach and shows some power potential to the pull gap.  He uses a leg kick to load and produces good bats speed with consistent line drives.  In the outfield, Clark and a 85 MPH positional velo.  He gets to the ball aggressively and has the ability to play through the ball.  He has a clean glove-to-hand exchange and a high ¾ release.   He runs a 4.70 home-to-first
6/19/13: Clark is a strong bodied 6-foot, 195-pound two way player who impressed in his all around game. On the mound, the left handed throwing Clark does a good job of getting on top of the ball with good extension and quick arm speed, while consistently throwing all three pitches for strikes. His fastball was thrown in the 81-83 mph range with late life and hard cut action. He also showed command of a 66-69 mph breaking ball that had sharp 11-to-5 shape down in the zone, thrown with near fastball arm speed. Clark also showed a 71-72 mph change up with some fade action. In the outfield, Clark moves to the ball with purpose, showing aggressive movements and playing through the ball with accurate throws on a line (top throw of 82-mph). Offensively, Clark has some looseness in his swing and does a good job of incorporating a strong lower half. He shows extension through contact with ability to hit the ball gap-to-gap with some pull side power potential.

2/18/13: Clark has a projectable 6-foot, 195-pound frame and shows some tools in the field and on the mound. In the outfield, Clark is aggressive to the ball, while maintaining good body control with a clean exchange. He plays through the ball, showing a strong, accurate arm (82-mph). At the plate, the left handed hitting Clark shows a short, quick swing that remains level through contact and displaying some pull side power. On the mound, the left-handed thrower showed ability to keep all of his pitches around the zone. Coming from a high ¾ arm slot, his fastball topped at 79-mph with slight arm side movement. He also threw a 60-63 mph breaking ball with near fastball arm speed that stayed down in the zone and a 68-71 mph change up. Clark seemed to have better control out of the stretch than the wind up.

10/14/2012: The left handed Clark has a 6-foot, 200-pound frame and comes from both an over the top and ¾ arm slot. His change up showed to be his best pitch, consistently thrown for a strike in the 64-67 mph range with near fastball arm speed, at times showing arm side run and at times a straight change. His fastball was thrown in the 73-77 mph range, topping at 79-mph on his last pitch. His breaking ball showed early 2-to-8 break at 58-59-mph. With some more use of his lower half and quicker rhythm, expect to see Clark’s velocity to increase over the next few years. He also ran a 7.51 60.
