8/9/15 - James is a 6-foot 195-pound right-handed hitting outfielder.  James ran a 7.25 60 and had an 81 mph exit velo. At the plate, athletic stance, smooth load, level path to extension, showed power to left field in batting practice, consistent solid contact, singled to right side in game action.  In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, high three-quarters release, loose arm action, momentum towards target, clean exchange, throws with carry, on line.

6/17/14 - James is a strong 6-foot 180-pound OF.  James has a positional velo of 80 MPH and has a loose over-the-top release.  He has a fluid exchange plays through the ball well, making accurate throws.  Offensively, James starts in a balanced position and creates good bat speed that produces power to his pull gap.  He has mostly a pull approach and has an exit velo of 87 MPH.  James runs a 7.06 60 and a 4.53 home-to-first. 

1/4/14 - James is a sturdy-framed 6-foot, 180-pound right-hand hitting outfielder.  In the outfield he showed soft hands, fluid footwork and clean exchanges throwing with short arm action and high ¾ slot.  His top throwing velocity was 80 mph making several accurate throws.  Hitting-wise he starts with a balanced set up, strides slightly closed and has a smooth backward hand load.  He showed a level bat path with a mostly pull approach.  James’ exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph.
