9/23/18 - Kotsis is a thick and strong 5-foot-10 200-pound right handed hitting shortstop and right handed pitcher in the 2020 Missouri class.  He runs a 7.25 60 and a 4.62 home to first.  At the plate, Kotsis is explosive off of the bat, getting his exit velocity up to 91 mph.  He has an athletic set up with a bat wiggle to get to his power position.  He has a pull side approach by opening up his front side and has a slightly uphill bat path.  On the infield, he is loose and moves well for his size, has good arm action with a high three quarters release point, getting his velocity up to 83 mph across the diamond.  On the mound, he has a smooth and compact delivery throwing a fastball at 80-83 mph with some arm side run.  He compliments his fastball with three different off speed pitches that he throws for strikes, a changeup, curveball, and knucklecurve.  The changeup comes in at 66-69 mph with same arm action as fastball.  The curveball has good 12-6 depth at 66-69 mph, the knucklecurve is harder and sharper at 65-71 mph with 1-7 movement.

8/12/18 - Kotsis is a strong 5-foot-10 195-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.35 60 and a 4.80 home to first.  He has an 81 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, slight weight shift to back side, rhythm in hands, short stride, swing produced gap to gap line drives during hitting evals.  On the infield, short over the top arm slot with momentum in footwork, works through the ball, smooth and controlled, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws.

10/22/17 - Kotsis is a durable 5-foot-10 196-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2020 class.  He ran a 7.42 60 and a 4.90 home to first.  He has a 91 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, controlled load into back side, no wasted movement, repeatable, mostly pull side line drives during batting practice, has power, singled to right-center gap in game action.  On the infield, 79 mph positional velocity, fluid action, high three quarters release, clean transfer on time with footwork, accurate throws, feet create momentum through the catch. On the mound, Kotsis is a strike thrower and challenges hitters, mixes pitches and shows command of fastball and curveball, throws with controlled effort, over the release, in line stride down the mound, strong and durable build, fastball at 71-81 mph, works down in the zone, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, some with sharp action, will produce swing and miss, late break.
