2/15/16 - Gibbs is a 6-foot-1 185-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2017 class.  He got down the line in 4.27-seconds and has an exit velo of 86 mph. At the plate, athletic set up, smooth load, short stride, no wasted movements, hands work inside of ball, hits to all fields, power to pull gap, loose hands with feel for the barrel.  Behind the plate, 1.94 to 2.07 pop times, top pop time of the event, 78 mph positional velo, quick catch and throw, aggressive, over the top release, accurate throws. On the mound, Gibbs has an over the top arm slot, loose and quick arm action, aggressive down the mound, throws with regular effort.  Fastball was 83-87 mph, one of top RHP velos for the event, works the bottom of the zone, downhill tilt, curveball at 73-77 mph, tight/late breaking 11-to-5 action, throws on same plane as fastball, change up at 77-80, fastball arm speed, arm side sink.

Threw mainly fastball/curveball.  Fastball at 80-83 mph, runs inside to RHH, 12-to-6 curveball at 73-75 mph, late/sharp break, fastball arm speed, curveball is best pitch, change-up at 70 mph, throws with regular effort, drop and drive, quick arm speed, athletic finish, attacks hitters.

10/18/14 - Gibbs is an athletic 6-foot 180-pound 3B/C.  On the infield, has 79 mph positional velo, long arm swing with high ¾ release, fluid footwork, clean/quick exchange.Behind the plate, 73 mph positional velo, pop times between 2.00 and 2.28, quick/clean exchange. At the plate, swing the with authority, 81 mph exit velo, smooth load, pull power, smooth load, level to extension, 4.71 home-to-first.
