Brennon Wright: 3B/RHP, (2023) Starkville, MS. 6-foot-1, 165-pound lean athletic frame. Begins in an athletic balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a toe tap controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, has a level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found multiple barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. Advanced in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 78 mph; shows a fluid exchange, consistent hands, and smooth rhythmic feet. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.65. Solid on the mound, used a long loose arm action with an over-the-top arm angle while showing good arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Has an athletic consistent balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Curveball (64-66 mph), changeup (70-73 mph). Threw his fastball 79-81 mph with a max of 82 mph;
Brennon Wright: Starkville High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-11, 135-pound slim frame; RHP/SS. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 77 mph. Started in open stance then had a leg kick Exhibits a straight-to-the-ball swing plane, above average bat speed and good extension on his finish. While in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 72 mph; showed soft hands and rhythmic footwork. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 72 mph. Had a short arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, he clocked a 60 time of 7.51. On the mound, he threw his fastball 72-75 mph. His 58-61 mph curveball had depth when he located it low in the zone.
5’11” 135 lbs. Starkville High School 2023. Lean and athletic frame with plenty of room for continued development. Offensively showed a short stride with good lower half. Middle of the field line drive approach with a slight lift in his swing. Pitching displayed the ability to throw strikes with a 73mph fastball and 68mph slider with late movement.
