Jackson Mayer: LHP/OF, (2022) Myrtle Attendance Center, MS. 5-foot-10, 185-pound solid sturdy frame. Above average at the plate, Mayer had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. Began in an athletic active stance with a smooth compact load, then used a controlled short stride. Bat speed was above average, and used a level swing plane. Created a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive up the middle approach. Advanced from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 82 mph; showed sure consistent hands, a clean natural exchange, and athletic consistent feet. Uses his glove out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick long arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Clocked a time of 7.06 in the 60-yard dash. Advanced confident on the mound, showed quick arm speed, he had a quick loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Has even shoulder and athletic balance point. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Curveball (69-71 mph), changeup (70-72 mph). Threw his fastball 79-82 mph.
