A loose-bodied quick-twitch athlete, Gray has a simple, relaxed approach, one that generates easy bat speed and has rhythm and balance throughout. Defensively, he also has a strong arm and moves with fluidity.

Long arm action working through ball athletically with quality arm strength. Right handed hitter, with subtle leg lift load and looseness in hands. Loose wrists with easy swing, solid bat speed with line-drive/pull approach. Ball jumps off bat with backspin abillity.
