Thanks to the technology of Google Analytics we are able to drill down into the Prep Baseball Report website and, in particular, see what pages get the most page views.  This feedback assists us in adjusting and adapting our coverage.  It’s also interesting to see what our readership likes the most.

Below we take a look at the Top 10 most read Mississippi high school player profiles from August 2017:

Landon Rascoe RHP / SS / Hattiesburg , MS / 2019


Athletic 6-foot-1, 185-pound frame. Long, loose, quick arm action from a high-3/4 arm slot.  Strong at balance position, working in-line and downhill with dominate front side, some effort and good finish to the plate. The baseball jumps out of his hand, sitting 88-92 mph with late life and deception to his fastball. Secondary stuff is still developing, but he flashed the ability to spin a tight breaking ball at times, with 11/5 shape and depth at 70-74 mph and a change up with occasional sink at 75-77 mph. Slider was 77 mph with good spin.

Jerrion Ealy OF / Jackson Preparatory, MS / 2019

A 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame with a medium, athletic build and present strength in frame. Right-handed hitter with quality rhythm and timing, consistently barreling balls up with authority and a gap to gap approach. As a outfielder he has quick footwork with direct routes and quality arm strength, has also proven to be an elite runner as well.

Turner Swistak RHP / 3B / Oak Grove, MS / 2020

Lean, athletic 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame. Right-handed hitting third baseman that hits from wide and balanced setup. Loads with a subtle shift of weight, dead hands and short stride with a line drive approach and slight up-hill path, recording an 86 mph exit velocity. Defensively showed fluid footwork, decent hands, occasionally fielding on heels while working through athletically. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws, posting a positional velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher with short arm action into high-3/4 release, quick arm speed and normal effort. Solid rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and finishes athletically. Strike thrower, worked with quality tempo, pitching 81-84 mph with his fastball. Flashed ability to spin solid breaking ball with shape and solid spin at 67-70 mph, also showing a change up with occasional fading action at 73-74 mph.

JT Ginn RHP / SS / Brandon, MS / 2018

Mississippi State recruit with strong, athletic, 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame. Fastball was 95-97 mph with good life and he mixed in a wipeout slider 85-87 and a changeup at 87. Showed good feel for the changeup with sink and fade.

Blaze Jordan 1B / DeSoto Central, MS / 2021

Mississippi State recruit. A physical 6-foot, 215-pound frame with present strength. Right-handed hitting firstbaseman starts open with subtle leg lift landing even and consistently on time. Short, direct path with quality bat speed and raw power. Flashes a solid approach and advanced hittablity for age.

Colin Frederickson C / 1B / St. Stanislaus, MS / 2019

Athletic 6-foot, 180-pound frame, with room for added strength. Left-handed hitter that hits from tall, athletic, balanced setup. Subtle load with consistent rhythm and balanced throughout swing, with easy effort, looseness in hands. Short, simple swing with repeatable line-drive/backside approach and back spin ability, posted a 92 mph exit velocity. Developing defensively but projects in become a solid first baseman, as a catcher recorded pop times of 2.17 - 2.19 and a positional velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash.

Farmer Abendroth RHP / Warren Central, MS / 2019

Louisiana State recuit. A 6-foot-5, 170-pound frame with long limbs. Right-handed pitcher with a short, quick arm action and regular effort in delivery. Fastball works with good angle and sinking action at 87-89 mph, touching 90 mph. Breaking ball has shown 11-5 shape with occasional tight spin also flashing a changeup at 74 mph with slight fading action.

Mississippi State recruit. Lean 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, athletic build. Advanced left-handed hitting outfielder, mechanically quiet, with small leg lift landing balanced, with subtle hand load, consistent pre-swing rhythm, quality bat speed, aggressive lower half, maintains balance throughout swing, Loose, athletic hands with gap-to-gap ability.

Mississippi recruit. 6-foot-3, 195-pound long, lean, athletic frame with wide shoulders. Outfielder, good routes to the ball with long strides. Long arm action working through ball athletically with quality arm strength. Right handed hitter, with subtle leg lift load and looseness in hands. Loose wrists with easy swing, solid bat speed with line-drive/pull approach. Ball jumps off bat with backspin abillity.

Hayden Dunhurst C / Pearl River Central, MS / 2019

Mississippi recruit, 5-foot-11, 210-pound frame. left-handed hitting catcher with loose, quick hands creating slight leverage through the zone. He creates consistent line drive contact to the pull side with authority, having a present feel for the barrel. As a catcher he has also displayed solid catch and throw ability, consistently recording sub 2.0 pop times.
