06.17.16 - State Games of NC (Cary, NC) - Listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, the North Carolina State commit featured a straight-line build that will continue to add strength. Long limbs and a long arm led to good rhythm between the front side and arm. The fastball sat 83-85 mph and climbed to 88 several times. Secondary offerings should continue to improve and both produced swing and miss. Curveball sat 71-74 and changeup was 76-77. Preset pivot and a simple repeatable delivery produced an easy arm in a high-3/4 slot. Showed an ability to shorten down with runners on base.
2/29/20: Junior lefty who impressed with five innings of scoreless relief during Sunday evening’s 11-7 win over the host Gophers. Punched out six, while allowing just one hit. Fastball sat 90-93 mph while showing a plus changeup at 81-83 which was thrown with good arm speed. His breaking ball lags behind his other two pitches, but on this day he had the look of someone who continues to figure things out on the bump after a rough freshman season. (Seifert)
