There was plenty of buzz surrounding Wendt entering the Super 17 and he certainly didn’t disappoint, exceeding our expectations in the process. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Creighton commit recorded the weekend’s hardest fastball, producing low-90s heat that topped at 94 mph from an ultra-quick arm. Wendt’s fastball exploded into the zone, playing with flat four-seam ride out of his hand. He mixed in a handful of mid-70s curveball with sharp spin off a high arch throughout his outing as well. A former PBR Future Gamer, Wendt looked the part of a high-follow arm in the Midwest’s 2023 MLB Draft cycle
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds.
Defense: Athletic actions w/ good feet horizontally. Glove tap before release creates delay before ball release. Strong arm with carry.
Arm: INF - 88 mph.
Hit: RHH. Open athletic stance w/ solid rhythm in his load. Struggled with timing in BP creating some inconsistent contact.
Power: 95 mph exit velocity from Trackman.
Run: 7.36 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Rocker Step w/ slight delay picks up tempo into leg lift. Maintains good direction and pace down the mound, Foot is very open at landing good quickness through release
Arm action: Relaxed throughout motion. Long out of the glove quick high ¾ through ball release
FB: T90.80, 88.7-90.8 mph. Some jump out of hand. Fairly straight. Up in zone
CB: 73.1-74.2 mph. Slurve action with later break
CH: 83.5-84.9 mph. Straight change decent feel in the zone

Defense: 2.07-2.14 pop times. Square one knee set up, shows athletic actions, quiet movements, strong receiver, will stab at times.
Arm: Right. C - 75 mph. Compact 3/4 with slight wrist flip. Ball has carry through the base.
Hit: Right. Balanced open stance, leg kick trigger with hand load. Controlled aggressive slightly uphill path to the ball. Middle of the field approach, varying contact.
Power: 93 mph exit velocity from the tee. Posted a top exit speed of 90.68 per Trackman.
Run: 7.21 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Rocker step with rhythm in leg kick, aggressive front side with some effort in delivery, athletic finish, stays directionally inline.
Arm Action: Right. H/34, long on the backside and outfront.
FB: T86, 84-85 mph. Varying run action. Consistently around the zone.
CB: 67-71 mph. 11/5 shape, average spin, gradual depth for strikes.
CH: 75-76 mph. Hard downward action to armside.
