Ciaramella has a lean, athletic build at 5-foot-11 170-pounds. One of the top performers from the event and one of the top uncommitted SS in the 2019 class. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.89-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 89 MPH. Offensively – starts in a wide stance and in a crouch with hands above back shoulder. Uses a small foot stride to start swing. Loose, athletic hips and hands through the zone produce line drive pop. Short and simple to the baseball, expect Ciaramella to continue to increase power as he fills out athletic frame. Able to find the barrel and shoot the ball into the gaps during batting practice. A Future Games participant for Team Select as well.
Preseason All-State Showcase (February 11th, 2017)
Ciaramella has an athletic build at 5-foot-9 160-pounds. One of the top performers of the entire event. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Recorded an exit velocity that topped at 90 mph. Offensively- starts in a wide, balanced stance and a slight crouch. Hands are cocked back, level with back shoulder. Uses a small leg stride and a toe tap to start load/swing. Hand load is small as hands move back slightly. Quick, short, explosive swing with some lift on the finish. Line drive type hitter. Defensively- Smooth actions at SS, easy footwork and quiet movements. In control of body when moving laterally, exchange is quick and fluid. Throws from high-3/4 slot with backspin, throws topped at 83 mph. Quick, loose arm action. Pitching- Fastball topped at 84 mph, sat 83-84 for his outing. Breaking ball showed slider-like 11/5 movement at 66-68. Flashed a hard changeup at 77 mph. Quick arm swing, very clean arm action. Drop and drive type pitcher. Gets velocity from driving down the mound and back leg strength. Lands closed and on toe of landing foot. Foot lands opened, at an angle toward the first base line. Causes him to spin off to that side on release. Impressive talent that will continue to improve throughout the spring and summer.
New Jersey Games (July 23, 2016)
Ciaramella is 5-foot-9 160-pounds and is a middle infielder and a right handed pitcher. One of the top 2019s at the event. Projectable, clean arm action on the mound, up to 83. Slurvy-type breaking ball at 62-65. Very athletic and clean actions in the infield. Looks comfortable at all spots in the infield - has the arm strength to play SS. Still growing.
Offensively - starts with bat on shoulder, hand load is initiated by small foot stride forward. Hand speed and power will continue to improve as he continues to get stronger. Exit Velo 81.
Defensively - glove is another top asset. Smooth in everything. Throws from 3/4 to high-3/4 slot. Throws had carry and backspin at 80 mph across the infield.
