Physical: 5-foot-11, 145 pounds; lean, wiry frame. 7.19 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open shoulder-width stance; hands load straight back with an exaggerated leg kick. Aggressive lower half, goes & attacks the pitch with direct swing path with a strong & smooth two-handed finish. Pull side approach; peak Trackman exit velocity of 90 MPH.
Defensively: Low to the ground position; active approach with smooth, controlled footwork, athletic actions with the ability to make late adjustments to the ball. Seamless transfer; low 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 79 MPH.
Pitching: Knee to chest leg lift, smooth methodical delivery, strides toward the plate with foot finishing in closed position, short & quick release . Short arm action, standard 3/4 arm slot. FB: Peak velo of 82 MPH, while sitting 79-82 MPH. Stays true but has high spin rate. CB: 70-74 MPH. 10-4 rotation with good horizontal movement. CH: 72-75 MPH. Has some good fading action.

2/18/20

Physical: 5-foot-11, 145-pounds. Lanky build; potential for more weight. 6.92 runner in the 60; 4.21 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Slightly open stance; hands start high then level out as he loads; tall and narrow; big leg kick into medium stride  Level bat path and some quick hands to get it through the zone; able to spray the field and hit solid line drives. Consistent contact showed pop to middle of the field/oppo. 83 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively:  Quick transfer to release; good backhand footwork to get into position; lets it get a little deep; active feet. Low 3/4 arm slot; medium arm swing.  INF - 78 MPH.

Pitching Delivery: Builds momentum with high leg lift and coil, strides out in line with shorter stride to a balanced follow through.
Arm Action: Short, fast arm action with a 3/4 release.
FB: T81, 78-81 MPH. 4-seam has ride into the zone, 2-seam has tail.
CB: 68-70 MPH. Tight, slurve action.
CH: 73-75 MPH. Locates with fastball arm speed.

9/22/19

Lapine had an impressive performance at the Fall Top Prospect games. At the plate, the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Short simple load actions. Displayed fast twitch hitting actions. Defensively, Lapine displayed active footwork. Gets to the fielding position quickly. Gets rid of the baseball from a quick release from a mid ¾ arm slot. On the mound, Lapine displayed a repeatable delivery. Lapine worked with a two pitch mix in live game action. FB peaked at 80 MPH with late arm side run. CB has late downward action ranging from 68-69 MPH. 


 


7/24/19

5-foot-11, 145-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder and pitcher. Ran a 4.19 home to fist at the workout. The glove and feet stay active throughout the fielding. The arm works well. Threw 78 mph. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 80 mph. The set up is even in base, front foot steps into the swing. The path is long and uphill at times. Needs to add physical strength to the frame. ON the mound, the fastball sat 81-82 mph, arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 67-72 mph, good in shape at times. The changeup is a developing pitch for him. The delivery is online with the feet and 3/4 in slot. The arm is long, lanky and clean. The lift is repeated and athletic. Solid prospect at a young age. 

Tee Exit Velocity- 80 mph

INF Velocity- 78 mph

A lean frame at 5-foot-11, 145 pounds. Ran a 7.10 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box in a tall stance and a slightly open. Uses a slight leg lift for timing and balance before attacking the hitting zone. Quick direct path to the baseball. Displayed a flat bat path. Stays balanced throughout his swing. Top exit velocity was 85 MPH. Defensively- Showed active footwork before attacking the baseball. Showed above average funnel actions. Has a smooth exchange to a quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Moves well side to side. Top throwing velocity was 83 MPH. The 2021 graduate has some upside and is a must follow going forward.

A lean 5-foot-10, 140 pounds. Ran a 7.50 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box with a slightly open stance and loose hands. Simple load and short stride towards the pitcher before attacking the hitting zone. Short compact swing, displayed hard contact during the hitting portion. Exit velocity was 80 MPH. Defensively- use active footwork during the infield portion. Gets himself in a good position when attacking the baseball. Above average exchange and quick release on throws across the diamond. Infield velocity was 77 MPH. Pitching- The right handed pitcher displayed good command of the strike zone. Repeatable delivery with tempo. Short stride to gain momentum downhill. Short, quick arm action. Balanced throughout the mechanics. Around the zone for all three pitches, FB (79 MPH), flashed a tight CB (61-62 MPH), and feel for a CH (68-71 MPH). The 2021 graduate has some room to grow. Added strength will help increase his measurables going forward.

9/30/18

Slender, projectable build at 5-foot-9, 130-pounds. Offensively – Narrow, upright stance. Starts slightly open to the pitcher. Uses leg lift to load before getting into forward stride. Lands in wide, athletic base with hands back and loaded. Compact swing. Stays inside of the ball and showed consistent line drive contact during BP. Low effort hitting actions with quick, loose wrists. Projects to add more power with additional strength. Defensively – Balanced, controlled footwork at SS. Keeps upper body over ball while funneling into throws. Long arm action with low ¾ release point. Soft glove hand. Pitching – Simple, repeatable delivery with balanced throwing actions. Short stride. Glove side stays closed to target at landing. Front leg braces up to allow extension thru release. Could get more rotation from backside towards end of delivery. Low ¾ release with long arm action. Consistently found bottom of the zone with all offerings.

Slightly-built left fielder; Offensively - short to the ball, makes consistent contact, impressive plate coverage, deceptively powerful, makes keen in-game adjustments and understands how to use count to his advantage, uses all fields; Defensively - gets a good break on contact, sure glove, plays a disciplined left field with a strong arm.

Slight, wiry build with a whippy arm from a low ¾ arm slot. Works down in the zone with movement at 74-75 MPH with 68 MPH slider that featured some late bite. At the plate; open setup with a simple line drive approach.
