Physical: Strong, athletic 6-foot-1, 185lb frame with durability found. 7.49 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, slightly bent stance at shoulder-width as the hands showed rhythm to start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a slightly uphill path towards a high finish into the hitting zone. Was able to lift the ball with consistency over the course of his round, staying behind the baseball and getting extended at the front of the plate (50% fly ball rate via Trackman). Carried a few deep to the LCF gap while showcasing a mostly pull-side approach during batting practice, working up to a 330+ foot batted ball distance with available doubles power. Good usage of the lower half, staying inside the legs and blocking off into a stiff/adjustable front side that allowed for sequencing at the plate.
Defensively: The shortstop operated with adequate range in either direction, arriving on time with right-left, right-left footwork at the fielding window. Used a glove tap and ready steps before releasing from a H ¾ slot with consistent transfers to the throwing ear. Featured a moderate arm circle and strong, accurate 81 mph arm strength across the diamond with left side projection moving forward.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far left side of the rubber from the stretch-only, coming set at a tall, narrow position. Moderate leg lift to a shallow, hip-coiled position before falling down the slope and separating on time, releasing at a H ¾ slot. High-spin on all offerings, able to create nice action on the baseball. The FB ranged from 79-82 mph up to 2782rpms (52% zone rate, strikes) and mixed a sharp 66-68 mph CB that held two-plane, 11/5 tilt and led to high swing/miss rates at the plate (-18 inches depth, downer). A 76-78 mph SL flashed hard sweep away from righties at T22 inches HM and then countered with a 76-78 mph CH that killed some spin at 1396rpms AVG.

Pitching: Works up tempo with a leg lift above the belt and slight turn, strides down and out with some crossfire action, finishes with a repeatable, balanced follow through against a strong front side; Hand drops down out of the glove before working up quick through a high 3/4 slot. FB: Works down hill with advanced spin (2400+ RPM) CB: 11-5 shape with depth (-14.9" vertical drop / -15.6" horizontal movement) SL: Sharp, slurvy action with up to -16" horizontal movement.
2/18/21
Physical: Strong, durable 6-foot, 185-pound frame with athleticism in the movements. 7.70 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - The righty started from a wide balanced, stance with loose, deep hands at the shoulder to begin; utilized a leg lift stride in order to initiate the bat head through an adjustable, flat path into the hitting zone. Advanced feel for his hands at the plate with lift after impact allowing for loft in the swing (55% fly ball rate) through the LCF part of the field. Could punch it hard on a line back through the middle as well while hitting into a stiff front side (37% line drive rate). A 310+ foot batted ball distance points towards doubles power at the moment; held the ground well throughout the swing, whippy bat head through extension.
Defensively: The primary shortstop was a quality defender, beating the ball to the spot with comfortability in lateral movements in either direction. A soft glove hand and medium-low posture generated momentum towards the target. Gets in line with the hips and shoulders and let it rip from a high ¾ slot (86 mph arm strength) with accuracy on the bag; feel for play on the run.
