2/21/22

Physical: 5-foot-7, 130 pounds; Lean, wiry build. 7.94 runner in the 60.

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Drops hands on the way back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with a late one hand finish.  More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 82 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high 3/4 arm slot. 2.40-2.45 pop times. C - 62 MPH.  OF - 66 MPH. Starts low in the crouch and stays tall while receiving. Transfers while standing up and throws from a high 3/4 slot.

7/06/21

Physical: 5-foot-6, 116 pounds; Average, proportional build. 7.64 runner in the 60.

Offensively
: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Extended take back of the hands with an exaggerated leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a sweeping swing path. with a high finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 76 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively
: Starts with a low to the ground setup; static during pre-pitch while stays low while receiving. Hands are firm with a clean transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 2.39-2.51 pop times. C - 62 MPH.

Pitching
: Ostrander uses a center rubber setup working primarily from the stretch. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly open. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B, while working through a standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 69 MPH, while sitting 66-68 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 55-56 MPH; lands for strikes.

3/21/21

Physical: 5-foot-6, 116LBS. 8.27SEC 60-Yard Dash.

Offensively: RHH. Slightly open stance with feet slightly wider than shoulder width. Barrel is resting on shoulder. Weight rocks onto the backside as the lead leg goes through a high leg lift. Simultaneously, the hands go down, back, and up again during the load. Barrel gets to strong load position and the left arm has slight bend in the elbow.

Defensively: Behind the plate works from a two knee up stance. Glove works below the incoming pitch during the receive. High secondary stance during the catch & throw sequence. Getting the right foot in the ground earlier to drive towards his target will be vital moving forward.

Pitching: Works strictly out of the stretch. Comes set with hands at the belt line when throwing a FB, comes set at chest height when throwing a CB. Feet are shoulder width apart. Leg lift is to slightly above the waist line. Lead leg goes down and out to get down the mound. Maintains a tight glove side post release.
