Aitken is a 6-foot-3 175-pound right-handed first baseman and pitcher. Tall, athletic frame. Offensively- Starts with his front foot open, hands high and tight near his ear. A little bounce before pre pitch, hangs front leg as for load. Front hip flies open on swing and causes hips to open up early. Finishes very off balance with pull favoritism. 70 MPH exit velocity. Defensively- Gets into good fielding position, uses long legs to move off bag well. Funnels well to chest, solid transfer and delivers hard throw towards target. Pitching- Sets up straight up, uses side step to start windup. Brings knee just past belt, hands at chest. Throws over the top and drives down the hill well. Fastball sat 74-76 MPH with a little arm side run. Curveball has decent 12-6 break, keeps it low at 64-65 MPH. Changeup has a little arm side drop late at 67-68 MPH. Command of all pitches would improve deceptiveness of off-speed.
