Slight 5-foot-9, 160-pound right-hander. Pitching- induces consistently weak contact with a fastball at 78-79 MPH that touches 82 MPH, late action avoids barrels, hides ball well, keep same motion for a curveball with tight 2-to-7 shape at 57-63 MPH, will need to develop downward plane to use with change-up.

Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Langman stands 5-foot-9, 160-pounds with broad shoulders, and a thicker lower half. Pitching- On the mound he shows a more old-school approach to his mechanics. He uses a fast-paced tempo, long side-step with high swinging hands-over-his-head for timing. Could benefit from a smaller side-step. Quick high knee-lift with with a long stride, uses hip-separation maximizing velocity from his frame, does collapse slightly on his front side during pitch release. Releases the ball from a high 3/4 slot with a fastball topping 83 mph, signs of more in the tank. Curveball shows more slider/cutter feel with late side-to-side depth, slight 11/3 shape sitting 66-67. Overall, Langman generates impressive arm-strength from a compact body-frame and shows projectable hand-speed.
