6/25/19

A strong frame at 5-foot-11,180 pounds. Ran a 8.02 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- The left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Keeps his hands loose and throws them into the hitting zone. Showed hard consistent contact to the middle part of the field . Gets good use of a strong lower half. Finishes in an upright stance in a two hand follow through.Top exit velocity was 88 MPH. Defensively- As a catcher, sets up in a low stance. Receives the ball slightly off center. Has a quick exchange and a quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 75 MPH. Pop time ranged from a 2.10-2.16. Pitching- The RHP displayed a repeatable delivery and balanced mechanics and a live arm. Works mainly from the left side of the rubber. Delivery has tempo. Stays in sync with the delivery. Works with a mid knee lift, smooth hand separation and drives downhill, low effort. Shows command of a good FB at 82 MPH. Ranging from 80-82. CB has late sharp break down in the zone at 70-71 MPH. The 2020 graduate is a must follow.

A physical 5-foot-11. 180 pounds C. Offensively- the left hitting C has a square stance, will slightly lift his elbow up in the load. Has a strong lower half, flat level swing through the point of contact, will finish in an upright in his follow through. Improved with an exit velocity of 87 MPH. Defensively- has a low wide stance. Above average footwork and transfer, stays closed with an accurate arm on the throws to 2b. Improved on the pop times with a 2.12-2.14 and 76 MPH to 2B. The bat will help the 2020 C at the next level as he continues to improve.

 
8/7/18: St. John Fisher (Campus Series)
Stands a sturdy 5-foot-9, 180-pounds. Square stance with a simple approach, balanced actions in the box. Level swing through the strike zone that produced line drive contact, 76 mph exit velo from a tee with signs of more in the tank. Defensively, wide stance, soft hands receiving, average transfer with above average arm-strength from behind the plate (74 mph) producing 2.21 best pop-time. Wokring on his footwork and release will help lower his pop-times fast.
