Wiry 6-foot, 150-pound RHP with a projectable build. Pitching - uses height with over the top arm slot to get downward plane on his fastball at 77-80 MPH that touched 82 MPH - a slight uptick from his previous best at 81 MPH, developing power from hip tilt at balance point, clean arm action with deceptive velocity, late movement, good bit on slider at 66-67 MPH, throws 1-to-7 curveball for strikes.

Steinman stands at 6-foot-0, 150 pounds. Had a 60 yard dash time of 7.65 seconds. Offensively- Begins with feet very wide and knees slightly bent with an even stance. Hands begin close to back ear. Uses a small stride as hands load backwards slightly. Hands stay close to body throughout swing, limiting extension through contact. Swing plane is flat. Hips are rotational during the swing. Has a low, two handed finish. Had an exit velocity of 72 MPH off of the tee. Defensively- Approaches the ball with long, smooth strides. Fields ball with feet wide and slight bend at the knees. Fields ball underneath his body. Uses a double shuffle on throws.  Over the top arm action on throws of 81 MPH. Pitching- Begins with narrow feet in the middle of the rubber with legs straight. Side step that allows right foot to pivot onto rubber. Knee lift comes to just above waist height at balance point. Average stride length that lands slightly closed on 3B side of mound. Arm gets slightly behind body towards 1B on backside, with full arm circle. Straight over the top arm slot that comes through right next to ear. Straight fastball  with some down angle that was in the 79-80 MPH range. Also threw a changeup that had some armside run at 73-74 MPH. Curveball was 63-65 MPH and had a small break due to being extended at his release.
