Boone shows high-level athleticism evidenced by his 6.77 60-yard dash. In the batters box he's relaxed with loose hands. Uses a leg-kick for timing, compact hands, short a direct to the ball creating above average bat-speed. Barrel stays mostly level through contact, 91 mph exit velo. Defensively his lower half is active, glove is out in front of his body, fast funnel, quick release from a 3/4 slot. Next-level defender. 

Future Games (August 2, 2018)

Athletic frame with some projection left at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Pitching- Beers had a strong showing over his two outings in Indiana. Sitting 84-85, touching 86 with repeatable mechanics. Beers features a slightly elevated arm slot that produces a 12-6 CB with depth and gives tilt to his FB. Has feel for change and also can flash a splitter. Not afraid to get after the hitter.

Athletic frame with quick actions. Works with a good pace. Glove side works from high to low after handbreak and creates good downward plane from his over the top release point. Aggressive demeanor on the mound. Competes very well.

ENY All-Star Games (September 17, 2017) Beers stands a lean 6-foot-0, 155-pounds with room to develop more physically. He uses quick pace to his delivery with a starting crouched upper body. High knee lift with hands around his head height, uses hip and shoulder separation on his drive towards home. Arm-action gets deep with a short fluid circle. Releases from a power 3/4 slot with a firm front side, average to slightly above average stride length with flex in his front leg. Fastball sat 78-80 mph with two-plane depth, curveball has 11/4 gradual shape at 59-61. Changeup stays on one-plane 64-65. Overall - very impressive 2020 arm. Sound repeatable mechanics, fast fluid arm, velocity starting to show but more projected down the road. Both off-speed pitches need more aggressive hand-speed but plenty of time to make those adjustments.
