Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Levanti checks in at 5-foot-8, 160 pounds. Had a 60 yard dash time of 7.41 seconds, lowering his time from previous events. Offensively- Begins with feet slightly wider than shoulder width and knees slightly bent with an even stance. Hands begin close to back ear with a pronounced bat wiggle. Uses a small leg kick as hands load backwards slightly. Hands stay close to body before extending through contact. Flat swing plane. Small weight transfer forward before hips become rotational during his swing. Has a low, one handed finish with line drive/flyball results. Had an exit velocity of 79 MPH off of the tee, a 4 MPH improvement from previous best. Defensively- Approaches the ball with short, choppy steps. Fields ball with feet wide and a lot of bend at the knees. Fields ball well out in front of body with glove side range. Can make the play on the run. Gets rid of ball quickly off of one shuffle. Had throws of 74 MPH across the diamond with a low ¾ arm slot.
NY All-Star Games (September 17, 2016)
Levanti stands in at 5-foot-8, 155-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 7.64 – 60, with a recorded best of 7.47 in August 2016. Offensively- Sets up square to the pitcher with his feet outside his shoulders and both knees slightly bent. Upright body with hands held high behind head with some pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch his trigger is a knee raise in to stride forward with his hands moving back into a good hitting position. Quick hands into the hitting zone with good bat path attacking the ball in the zone. High one handed finish with good lower body rotation getting whole body into swing. Line drive/flyball results. Recorded an exit velocity of 75 MPH. Defensively- Good footwork and approach to baseball. Transition from glove to throwing hand is good. Needs to be more aggressive moving towards throwing target with a quicker infielder arm swing. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 57 MPH, with recorded best being 74 mph at the Western NY Prospect Preview in July 2016.
Eastern NY Prospect Preview (August 2, 2016)
Levanti stands in at 5-foot-8; 155 pounds with a lean athletic build. Recorded a 7.47 60. Offensively- Sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside his shoulders and his hands high above his shoulder. Slight bat movement pre pitch. On pitch his trigger is a high knee raise stepping forward slightly with his hands moving down and back into a good hitting position behind the shoulder. Quick hands into the hitting zone would good barrel action throughout to a high two handed finish. Good lower body rotation and swing sequence. Repeats effort; line drive/flyball results middle of the field to his pull side. Recorded an exit velocity of 71 mph  (was 75 on July 5th). Defensively- Good footwork and approach to the baseball. Funnels ball into chest well. Takes time getting the ball from the glove into throwing position and can be corrected with a quick infielder arm path and a shuffle without any hesitation. With improved movement towards target will be an athletic infielder. Fields ball well on the run and to left/right side. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 68 mph (up to 74 MPH in July). May project better at 2B a the next level.
