Physical: XL, strong 6-foot-2, 220lb frame with a thick, connected lower half. 7.65 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced stance slightly bent into the backside as the hands operated calmly on the shoulder. Utilized a short leg lift to initiate a slightly uphill, lifted path into the hitting zone towards a deep, high finish. Hit into a stiff front side with lots of intent during batting practice, notching both a 50% line drive and 70% hard hit rate for success to the pull-side of the field. Sequenced properly and hunted FB’s in game action, able to match pitch-plane out of the hand with some separation in the swing. Recorded a T390 foot batted ball distance at his peak (via Trackman) with significant home-run juice and bat speeds (T99 mph bat exit velo).
Defensively: The primary third baseman approached over the toes with a moderate/higher posture early in routes. Held momentum to the bag after fielding, funneled to the chest, and released from a H ¾ slot (79 mph arm, accurate). Showed comfortable actions moving to his left side, getting the hips in-line before throwing.
