7/06/20

Physical: Athletic 5-foot-11, 195-pound frame with a sturdy build and plenty of strength in the actions. 7.59 second 60-yard dash runner. Ithaca College commit. 

Offensively: RHH. Low, balanced stance with slight rhythm in the hands above the shoulder upon setup. Demonstrated a toe-tap stride with weight shift to the front side upon contact coupled with a backwards load and launch from the shoulder. The barrel played with slight lift through contact with plenty of whip and hand speed while showcasing violent intent in the box. Registered a max of 90 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball with a top distance of 348 feet. Generated an impressive 73.10 mph bat-speed per Blast Baseball which is well above average in comparison to his peers. 

Defensively: The primary first baseman featured a low center of gravity with short, quick actions laterally and a soft glove hand creating more than enough confidence he’ll be able to stick there long term at the next level. Understands pace in the infield and utilized an inside move on double play footwork with ability to get back to the bag. The arm played accurately across the diamond out of a high ¾ slot. 1B - 80 mph 


2/21/20

Physical: 5-11, 195-pounds. Physical, athletic frame. 7.18 runner in the 60; 4.32 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, tall, relaxed stance with an even base, hands out in front of his body that work back along with a large leg kick for timing Hands get on plane early and are quick to the baseball, good use of the lower half with a strong finish. Lots of hard contact to pull side and up the middle. 91 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: OF: Gets low on approach and fields the ball outside his glove foot, crow hops to release, INF: Gets wide and low, fields the ball in the middle of his body and funnels the ball into his stomach. OF: Medium arm swing with an over the top slot, INF: Short arm swing with a low 3/4 arm slot.  INF - 81 MPH. OF - 79 MPH.

6/25/19

A physical 5-foot-10, 185 pounds projectable frame. Ran a 7.68 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box in a tall stance. Uses a slight leg lift for timing and balance before attacking the baseball. Has loose hands and displayed hard consistent contact to the middle of the field. Good use of lower half. Top exit velocity was 92 MPH. Defensively- Gets in a low wide base when fielding the baseball. Moves well laterally. Has a smooth exchange and throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 77 MPH. The 2020 graduate has some upside and is a must follow.


2/20/19

A strong 5-foot-10, 185 pounds projectable frame. Ran a 7.44 60 yard dash. Offensively- stands in the box with a narrow stance. Uses a high leg kick for balanced and timing before attacking the baseball. Quick to the hitting zone, good use of the lower half through the point of contact. Flat bat path to a violent finish. Displayed hard consistent contact during the hitting portion. Exit velocity was 90 MPH. Defensively- aggressive actions during the defensive portion. Stays low, smooth funnel action to a quick release. Increase his throwing velocity from the last workout to 77 MPH. As an Inf, active footwork and smooth exchange to an above average release from a low ¾ angle. Gets himself in a good position when fielding the baseball. Top throwing velocity was 76 MPH.

7/17/18

5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Projectable frame. Offensively - Narrow, slightly open set up. High leg kick to get into forward stride. Lands in wide base, square to pitcher. Pulls hands back into strong hitting position to create separation. Level barrel path. Keeps hands inside of the baseball. Low effort swing that finds barrel consistently. Exit velocity was 84 MPH. Defensively - Stays low in a wide base when fielding. Funnels ball in center of body. Efficient footwork around the bag. Loose arm action. Side shuffle to get momentum into throws. Arm strength was 68 MPH.

6/25/18

5-foot-10, 170-pounds, stays through the ball, long arm action with 74 mph arm-strength. In the box, narrow stance with a high leg kick, hands drop slightly, finishes with a upward tilt in his bat path, 87 mph exit velo with consistent contact.

2/21/18

Cutaia stands at 5-foot-10. 145 pounds.  Ran a 7.89-60.  Offensively- short slightly opened stance. Hands held at about shoulder height.  Leg lift with large stride to engage with long swing path.  Exit velocity measured 82-MPH showing bat strength.  Defensively- from the outfield even stance slight bend at the knees to approach the ball crow-hop release with arm strength measured at 73-MPH.  From first base- wide base, fields behind the ball with smooth glove to hand transfer.  Long arm action at the 3/4- slot, 69-MPH across the diamond.
