Physical: Highly athletic, wiry 5-foot-8, 145lb frame with feel present. 7.18 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Wider, slightly bent stance as the hands showed at a controlled attack position at the shoulder to start. Utilized a short lift and replace stride, initiating the bat head through a flat, direct path and weight-shifted into a firm lead-leg at impact. Mature hitter with natural top of the order type traits, adding a standout 78% line drive rate during his round (via Trackman). Stayed inside and simple in the approach, hitting the ball flush where it was pitched; posted a T86 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak en route to occasional doubles power when getting connected (294 foot batted ball).
Defensively: The primary middle infielder featured quicker, choppy feet, approaching with some downhill actions and a soft glove hand out in front. Bent at the waist, shuffling in rhythm to the target with adequate pace; released from an accurate H ¾ slot (76 mph arm, quick trigger).
Physical: 5-8, 135-pounds. Lean, athletic frame. 7.04 runner in the 60; 4.28 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Athletic, balanced stance with his feet just wider than shoulder width apart, hands start back and uses a medium leg kick for timing Hands get to the ball quickly, direct, flat barrel path that stays on plane through the entirety of swing. Consistent contact up the middle and to oppo gap. 75 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: Gets low early and uses consistent footwork on approach, fields the ball in the middle of his body and releases the ball quickly. Long, quick arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot. INF - 72 MPH.
A lean athletic frame at 5-foot-7, 130 pounds. Ran a 7.00 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box with feet shoulder width apart. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher before attacking the baseball. Displayed hard consistent contact during batting practice. Exit velocity was 78 MPH. Defensively- Russo displayed active footwork during the defensive portion at the NY Future games. Moves well laterally and gets rid of the ball quickly. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Russo is one to follow. Quick athletic player that can player all over the field.
