April 2017

5-foot-7 freak athlete. He is a three-sport star (also plays football and soccer). He has a bit of an unorthodox swing--often getting out on his front foot but he has enough hand-eye coordination and bat control that it does not deter him. He went 3-for-4 in this game with an infield single, long RBI triple over the center fielder's head, a single between the 5.5 hole and a deep fly out to the warning track in center. Also stole a base, showing his 6.6 speed and made all the plays in center. Rare talent for his size.

Preseason All-Long Island (Feb. 20, 2015)
Theodorellis stands 5-foot-7, 150-pounds with a stronger build. At the plate he starts with his weight shifted back, hands low. On the pitch he loads his hands back up, strides for timing, hips shift forward. Path to the ball is short, barrel is mostly level through contact, shoulder height finish. 80 mph exit velocity off a tee. From the OF he moves hard towards the ball, fields the ball off his glove-side, uses momentum to gather himself, clean quick transfer, long-smooth arm action, 84 mph arm strength with carry. He ran a 4.35 home-to-first-time.
Pitching - Theodorellis stands 5-foot-7, 150-pounds with a smaller frame, broad thick shoulders. On the mound he uses a fast side-step, quick delivery, high knee lift, hands stay around his chin. Separates over the rubber, arm action is down and back towards 2B, quick hand speed from an over-the-top slot. Fastball sat 82 mph and looked heavy. He uses a long stride for his size getting maximum hip separation. Finishes over his front leg, slight hyper-extension on landing leg – see that a lot in power arms. Chance to be pretty good.
