7/09/19

Displayed a 6-foot-3, 175 pound long and lean frame with some athleticism. The right-handed hitter begins with an even, slightly bent stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Low hands to begin drive through a slightly uphill attack angle on impact generating backspin on 90 mph bat-exit velocities. The first baseman played low to the ground with long actions defensively. A soft glove-hand was utilized with give and take ability, coupled with accurate throws of 72 mph from his position.

6/25/19

A big lean athletic build at 6-foot-3,175 pounds. Ran a 7.23 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- The right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance. Keeps his loose hands at the chest level close to the body. Takes a short stride towards the pitcher. Has a quick direct path to the baseball. Does a good job getting full extension after the point of contact. Projects to hit for power at the college level. Does a good job using the lower half. Top exit velocity was 88 MPH. Defensively- As a first baseman, sits back on the baseball. Fields the baseball slightly upright. Shows active footwork around the bag. Low effort arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity across the diamond was 74 MPH. The 2020 graduate is a must follow.

2.21.19
