NY Games (June 25-27, 2017)

5-foot-11, 142-pound frame with room to grow, ran a 7.84/60. Offensively - uses inner-knee rotation with a loose, fluid swing, keeps bat plane on level path through the strike, makes consistent barrel contact, repeatable motion, appropriate pre-pitch movement with an exit velocity of 81 MPH. Defensively - fundamentally sound, soft hands, smooth transfer, quiet feet, accurate arm at 76 MPH. Pitching - short arm action with late run on fastball at 76-77 MPH touched 78 MPH, gets downward plane, sharp bite on slider at 63-64 MPH keeps batters off-balance, throws a change-up at 68-68 MPH for strikes, scratching the surface of his talent.

Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)

Princiotto stands a wiry lean 5-foot-11, 142-pounds with easy size projection, long lower half. Offensively- At the plate he uses an open setup stance, strides closed on the pitch, slight back load with a loose fluid full swing through the zone, long extension through the swing, path is mostly level showing signs of some pop (82 mph exit velocity off a tee). Defensively- Worked out as a middle infielder but signs point towards 3B or a corner OF because of the loose arm-action with 78 mph arm strength which projects much higher as he matures. Stays behind the ball, uses a open faced glove, footwork is choppy and needs to improve. Pitching -  uses quiet mechanics, falls hard on his backside, short arm-action but quick hand-speed, releases ball from a power 3/4 slot sitting 77-79 mph with more velocity in the tank. Spin on breaking ball shows signs of a plus pitch in the works. Overall, very good looking prospect from a rich HS baseball program in the Southern-Tier of NY.
