New York Games (June 27-29, 2016)
Stands 6-foot, 205-pounds. Flashed an exit velocity of 89-mph while throwing it 78-mph across the diamond and and a 7.87 60-yard dash. Offensively- Uses good rhythm during his load to create separation and shows good hand speed through the zone. Has the ability to hit hard to all fields with above average power. Defensively- Looks to be versatile enough to play either corner with good feel for the game and a strong enough arm to play third. Active approach; hands out in front with quick release.

Preseason All-State (Feb. 28, 2016)

Spoth stands 6-foot, 220-pounds.  Offensively- Sets up with a balanced tall base and a small leg lift. Creates good separation with his upper half load. Showed slight incline in the swing which proved to have some serious pop with a 91-mph exit velocity. Defensively- Shows sound fundamentals working through the ball with soft hands.  Could potentially play either corner in the infield spot.
WNY Pro Holiday Clinic (December 19, 2015)
The 2017 Corner guy stands 6’ 210 pounds.  He showed + power at the plate and with some minor adjustments and work in the weight room he could be a next level middle of the order power guy. Offensively- At the plate Spoth sets up wide and balanced, uses a modified toe tap.  With his hands he creates some rhythm during load and then slots around shoulder level.  His bat path was slightly uphill but consistent.  We’d like to see him use his lower half a little more efficiently in order to generate even more power.  Defensively- In the field he showed good fundamental glove work and sound footwork for a big man.  We think he has the arm and athletic ability to move to either corner in the infield.  Overall we liked what we saw from this potential power guy.
WNY All-Star Games (August 27, 2015)
Stands at 5-foot-11, 210 pounds, with a bigger, athletic body build.  He ran a 4.58 Home to 1st from the right-hand side. Defensively-  At first base looked good fielding through the ball and receiving throws from the position players, throws with a 3/4 arm slot.  His arm strength was at 75 MPHOffensively- At the plate his setup is relaxed and balanced stance, short leg kick stride, with a back load.  His hands are very compact and strong, swinging with a little uphill tilt but straight to the ball, has a high finish, and good extension through the ball with power.  His exit velocity was 83 MPH.

Western New York Open (July 2015)
