9/22/13
6-foot-0, 150 pounds with a slim, athletic frame. Two way player.  In the field, he shows above average hands and average arm strength.  Took good routes to the ball.  Topped out at 72 mph across the infield.  At the plate, he uses a straight on stance with short stride.  Smooth load.  Showed the ability to drive the ball to all fields.  Linedrive/contact type hitter.  On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot with short arm action.  Somewhat quick delivery.  His fastball offers some arm-side run while sitting at 74-77 mph.  Also used a 64-69 mph curveball that showed gradual 11/5 movement.

Hemmelgarn is a long and lanky prospect. In the field, he needs to improve his footwork and play through the baseball. He registered a top velocity of 68 mph while throwing off his back leg. At the plate, the right-handed hitter is a contact hitter that lacks overall power due to his size and strength. He registered a 7.97 60-yard dash.
