The top overall hit tool of the event belongs to Longwell. Looks much more physical than he did in the summer and has translated to his swing. Impressed with his combination of feel and strength, barrelling up balls with authority to both gaps. A run producer type bat who projects to hit for average and some power. Also looked the part in the outfield, showing an above average skill set across the board. Very functionally athletic with the arm to play all three spots. Presnet fit looks more likely in the corners where he projects to be a solid defender. Kent State got a good one here.

A lefty swinger that starts in a wider, open setup. Flashed advanced natural tools at the plate for his age. Barrel starts flat before getting vertical at launch. Path is level and he gets on plane early. Type of hitter that can hit anywhere in the lineup. Displayed power potential to his pull side. Consistently produced line drives in batting practice. A well rounded outfielder that looks the part. Mechanically sound with well above average athleticism. Shows obvious feel for the position. Arm strength would be only area for improvement.
