A switch-hitter at the plate that uses similar mechanics from both sides. Shoop uses a fluid back load during his aggressive stride forward. A front foot hitter that takes a slightly downhill path to the baseball. Bat shows whip through the zone inside his intent driven swing. Can get around the ball at times but showed impressive pop and true ball flight to the middle of the field. Looks to be a true switch hitter at this stage. A rangy infielder with aggressive feet. Cuts down distance off the bat, getting to the ball in a timely fashion. Plays with confidence in his glove and a quick transfer on the move.
