A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Slider
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Slider
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
Hit: (RHH) Solid confident. Starts in an open stance with a controlled rhythmic load, then uses a small leg kick. Explosive bat speed. High finish, uphill swing. Aggressive gap to gap approach.
Power: 94 mph exit velocity, average 86.86 mph. 73.53 mph bat speed average. 23.68 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (IF) Sure hands, average footwork, packing exchange. Above average. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average.
Arm: 77 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot.
Speed: 7.53 (60-yard).
Pitching: Solid. Drop-and-drive delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, good arm speed, loose arm action. Upright finish.
Ben Brosch: 1B/RHP, (2022) West Clermont, OH. 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Brosch's best exit velocity was 93 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is explosive, exhibits an upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 77 mph; has sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Solid on the mound, uses an long arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Threw his fastball 80-82 mph. He has a 11/5 curveball (65-69).

2/22/20 Position Player Hit: Up and down stance with a slight leg slide approach. Does a good job at bringing hands to meet the front knee to create power in weight shifts. Fast twitch bat speed. Power: 93 exit velo with a max distance of 340 feet. Offensive Projection: Gap to gap run producer. Field: Feet can get heavy at times but stays under control when fielding and stays through his throw with good arm strength. Throw: 76 mph infield velo. Defensive Projection: 3B/SS.

Body Type: 6-foot-2, 205 pound frame. Solid, linebacker type build. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: From the windup, initiates delivery with rocker step to outside of his body. Centers weight and momentum with straight up and down leg kick. Short stride. Short arm action on the back side. Quick tempo to delivery. Fastball: Mostly sat 70-73 mph. Needs to work on overall fastball command in the zone. Curveball: 55-56 MPH. Will be aided by increased arm speed. Showed most shape out of his two breaking balls. Changeup: Straight at 67-68 mph. Slider: Mostly flat at 65-66 mph. More like a cutter than a slider. Summary: Advanced, physical frame for his age. Needs to continue improving fastball command and consistency in one of his breaking balls for the next level.

Body Type: 6-foot-2 205-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: At the plate he uses a toe tap load with an uphill bat path and keeps his barrel through the zone pretty well.
Hit: Shows strong hands and good barrel control.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Should at least be able to develop into a gap to gap threat, but with above average raw power for a 2022 he could end up developing into somewhat of a power threat down the road.
Field: At 3B he waits on the ball and shows ok footwork with minimal angles through the ball. At 1B he shows adequate feel and footwork around the bag.
Throw: 68 mph across the diamond.
Run: 5.12 home to first.
Defensive Projection: Probably would fit better at 1B at the next level if his bat ends up good enough to be there.

A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Goes with a slight back load during his short stride forward. Path is level to slightly downhill with advanced strength for class. Drove the ball with authority to his pull side, producing natural backspin. Showed some rawness and developing feel for the barrel but strength is obvious/ball jumps. In the infield he uses quick, direct footwork to the baseball. Does a nice job of cutting distance off the bat. Can get around the ball at times and would be aided by fielding the ball regularly on the left side of his body. Ball skills are developing and transfer is smooth. On the bump he tosses a traditional three pitch mix through a high-¾ slot. Fastball comes in at 67-68 mph with regular sink to it. Projects for more velocity as he matures physically. Changeup is an above average offering for class. Maintains arm speed on the pitch that shows sharp downward action at 64-66 mph. Breaking ball has more spin than movement on a 12/6 plane at 61-63 mph.
