Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Southpaw that diced in his outing, showing the ability to fill it up with three quality offerings. Hides the ball really well, allowing his 83-85 mph fastball to play up velocity wise. Tosses a sharp breaking ball with big action that generates consistent swing/miss on the day. Spins the pitch well and tosses it with confidence. Used the offering as his out pitch. Also flashed a changeup that is a nice change of pace offering to the other two. Very solid, three pitch lefty that stroke out 4 out of 5 batters he faced. High follow.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 180-pound strong frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: High-¾ lefty that works with good tempo. Compact arm action with above average arm speed. Not a ton of effort in there. Fastball: 81-83 mph. Comes out easy and he can use both sides of the plate. Will run arm side. Curveball: 67-70 mph. Well above average offering. Spins the pitch well giving it big, sharp action on a 1/7 plane. Quality offering that should be effective against hitters from both sides of the plate. Changeup: 72-74 mph. Above average offering that was in the zone regularly. Has some late sink to it. Pitchability: Strike thrower that filled it up with all three. Additional Comments: Definite follow on the mound. Three-pitch lefty with more velo to come and two above average secondary offerings. Hit tool was interesting too for what it’s worth, showing off a 94 mph exit velocity from the left side.
Body Type: 5-foot-11, 180-pound strong frame. Swing Mechanics: Left-handed hitter that starts in an upright stance. Rhythmic hands during a double tap timing trigger. Hit: Physical kid with bat speed. Ball jumps off the barrel with hands showing noticeable strength through contact. Natural lift to middle/opposite field. A bit raw but natural tools are well above average for class. Landed on a few balls in BP. Power: 94 mph exit velocity. Easy gap pop. Offensive Projection: Middle Type. Run: 7.17 60-yard dash. Field: Plays low and under control in the outfield. Ball skills are adequate and he plays with confidence. Throw: Top tool is his arm. Ball jumps out of his hand. Throws show carry and accuracy. Defensive Projection: Corner OF.

Impressive feel on the mound for his age, filling up the zone will all three offerings. Delivery is fluid with short/compact arm action through a high-¾ slot. Tosses an easy 79-80 mph running fastball that he will use to both sides of the dish. Velocity has jumped 3 mph since we saw him in the fall. Breaking ball is advanced for class showing tight spin with late bite. Changeup also projects to be an above average offering. A lefty swinger that starts in an athletic setup. Goes with a knee pinch for energy in timing with lower half. Hands start at launch with his vertical bat placement allowing his barrel to work free and easy through the zone. A strong kid with some speed to his hands. Ball jumped, especially to the middle of the field. Has a look of a run producer down the road. A corner type in the outfield. Plays under control too and through with average ball skills. Arm plays as an above average tool for class.
A definite southpaw to follow in the 2021 class. Frame is athletic and he looks to be far from his ceiling physically. Arm works well and he sat 74-77 mph with his fastball. Secondary stuff is developing stuff wise and he showed the ability to command both his breaking ball and changeup. Threw four innings, allowing just one hit and striking out five. Also had a two for three day at the plate. An upside bat from the left side. Strength stands out as his top tool in the box. Ball jumps off his bat well, showing noticeable barrel whip through the zone. His path has natural loft to it allowing him to lift the ball naturally making him a candidate to be a power threat as he matures. In the outfield he gets to the ball using aggressive footwork. Plays through the baseball one-handed and maintains momentum through fielding sequence into throws. Threw with accuracy and above average arm strength for his class.

5-foot-11, 150-pound prospect. A lefty swinger that starts with his front heel off the ground and his barrel vertical. Uses littler load prior to taking a level path to the ball. Barrel gets on plane early, giving him a large margin for error in timing. Produced line drives to his pull side during batting practice. Gets to the ball in a timely fashion in the outfield. Fields the ball on his glove footside prior to getting into his crow hop. Showed average arm strength from the outfield, while being mostly on target. At first base he moves fluidly off the bag. Glove skills are adequate at this stage. On the mound, the southpaw throws through a ¾ slot with short arm action. Three pitch mix. Fastball tends to stay straight as it ranges between 71-74 mph. Breaking ball displays gradual break at 62-63 mph. Also mixes in a 62-65 mph changeup.
