2/10/19 Ware, who committed to Kent State back in the fall after decommitting from Liberty, offered one of, if not the best four-pitch mix of the event. His fastball jumps out of the hand sitting 87-89 mph with late hard run to the arm side. At 78-80 mph, the changeup is thrown with deceptive arm action. The pitch is mostly straight but shows some fade when thrown to the arm side. He offers two distinct breaking pitches, the best of which was a 78-80 mph slider. The pitch has tight rotation and late/hard dart and dive 11/5 action. The curveball has more of a slurvy feel at 72-73 mph.
8/4/17 Pitches a lot bigger than listed, works from ¾ slot with good life out the hand and four pitches he can trust and throw for strikes. Fastball worked at 84-85 while he threw both curveball and slider to go along with his changeup. Curveball sat 69-70 with more 11/5 shape and downward action while the slider had more tilt at 76-77 and looks to be more of a putaway pitch for Ware. Threw one impressive changeup that garnered a swing and miss with arm side run. Moves well on the mound, repeating his delivery with an upbeat tempo and clean actions.
6/6/17 A right-handed pitching prospect in the 2019 class. A smaller frame but a very live arm. Works through a high-¾ slot and is mechanically efficient. Works off his 83-85 mph fastball and has two impressive breaking balls. His curveball works on an 11/5 plane and was very sharp throughout his outing, sitting 69-70 mph. Slider works across the plate with depth at 75-77 mph. Ware filled up the zone with fastball and curveball, getting hitters to chase out of the zone with his slider. Only showed his change-up once but it was nasty. The pitch had heavy run to it.
1/24/16 5-foot-8, 145-pound thin build. At the plate he uses an upright stance to start. Hands stay short and quick to the ball. Bat travels through the zone on a downward plane. Registered a top exit velocity of 76 mph. In the infield, he fields out front with good athleticism. Throws from a high ¾ slot with 73 mph arm strength. Ran a 4.69 from home to first. On the mound he shows smooth rhythm in his delivery that requires regular effort. Throws with a long arm action into a high ¾ slot with average arm speed. Three pitch mix with the fastball sitting 78-80 mph. Curveball sits 61-65 mph with gradual break on an 11/5 plane. Changeup sits 70-73 mph.
