2/5/17
5-foot-9, 145-pound prospect. An outfielder that uses fluid footwork getting to the baseball. Plays through the ball well and finishes his throws. At the plate he creates solid separation between upper and lower half in his loading sequence. Stays balanced throughout swing. Path is downhill with some quickness to his bat. Would like to see a more controlled stride as he tends to get to front foot prior to swing decision. Contact type guy. In the infield he gets to the ball in a timely fashion, using quick footwork. Plays from heels on plays inside his funnel. Glove skills are above average. On the mound, the right handed pitcher uses his athleticism to his advantage. Creates compactness with delivery and really commands the zone well with all of his pitches. Throwing through a high 3/4 - near over the top slot, he offers a 75-78 mph straight fastball. Two good offspeed pitches that’ll keep plenty of hitters off balance. Breaking ball sits between 71-73 mph as it displays tight, late break on the plate. Changeup features consistent sinking action at 69-73 mph.

60-yard Dash: 7.35
Infield Velocity: 77
Outfield Velocity: 81
Exit Velocity: 78

8/2/16
5-foot-9, 145-pound athletically built prospect. Ran an impressive 4.10 from home to first. At the plate he does a nice job of gathering his weight prior to his controlled stride. Hands stay simple, while getting to an efficient launch position during stride. Bat gets through the zone on a level path with some bat speed. Bat path is level and he found the barrel consistently during batting practice. Used a middle away approach, producing solid contact to the middle of the field. Top exit velocity was 76 mph. Worked out both in the infield and outfield. In the outfield he showed quick, athletic footwork while getting to the ball in a timely fashion. Played through the ball efficiently, maintaining momentum into his throws. Threw with accuracy and 80 mph arm strength to home plate. In the infield he showed quickness to his feet and a dependable glove. Tends to field the ball deep in the middle of his body before throwing across the infield with 76 mph arm strength. More projectable as an outfielder at this stage.
