Chase Clemons: OF/RHP, (2023) Gahanna Lincoln, OH. 5-foot-11, 200-pound. At the plate, Clemons best exit velocity was 92 mph. (68.3 mph bat speed average). (18.1 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, has an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 85 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent footwork, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed a quick arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Slider (72-73 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 79-82 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1990; Avg 1914). Shows slight sweeping action on his 11/5 curveball (64-66). (Max spin 2006; Avg 1912). He has slight action on his changeup (68-71).
Chase Clemons: OF/RHP, (2023) Gahanna Lincoln, OH. 5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic frame. Solid during batting practice, Clemons clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Begins in an athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was above average, had an upward swing plane and high finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contacts. Up the middle approach. Solid recorded an outfield position velocity of 78 mph; has soft sure hands, smooth feet, and a natural exchange. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. On the mound, had a high ¾ arm angle and a compact arm action with quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Threw his fastball 77-79 mph; showed tailing action with tight movement. Has tight action on his 11/5 curveball (67-69).

Bat speed was efficient, and had a simple swing plane. Through the round he found some barrels. Line drive approach. Athletic from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 79 mph; showed consistent hands, a natural exchange, and quick choppy feet. Recorded a time of 7.56 in the 60-yard dash. Athletic on the mound, pitches from a ¾ angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Curveball (66-67 mph), changeup (67-69 mph).Threw his fastball 77-80 mph.
Scouting Notes: Good looking 2023 arm out of Gahanna. Arm works, fastball is live and can locate it well being able to spin a quality breaking ball.The type of arm that'd you'd expect more velocity from considering athleticism and cleanliness. Also offers a changeup that is developing but shows signs of being an above average offering.
Fastball: 75-79mph.

Breaking Ball: 64-67mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1950-2040rpm.
Changeup: 60-63mph.
Hit:Very efficient stroke. Path plays and hes balanced throughout stroke. Natural tools are well above average for class with both strength and bat sped playing as above average tools. Everything he hit was barrelled an backspun. Very solid round.
Power:Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Multiple Roles.
Field:Fast feet with confident play through and overall above average athleticism.
Throw:Ball jumps.
Defensive Projection:Multiple Roles.
Scouting Notes:Rolls through his delivery with a slower pace. Very clean arm with easy velocity additions down the road. Stood out for his ability to spin the breaking ball. Tight action on the offering that comes in near fastball velocities which is another indicator that you should expect more velocity down the road.

Hit:Right-handed hitter that starts in an open setup. Goes with a smooth load that starts earlier. Good athlete with burst through the zone. Impressive natural tools for a 2023. Ball jumps. Power:Gap to gap pop. Offensive Projection:Run producer. Max BP Exit Velocity:79 mph Max BP Distance: 283 ft Field:In the outfield he moves with athletic feet and confident actions. Maintains good tempo throughout. Throw:Arm is an above average tool for class. Ball jumps, throws show carry and he's on target often. Defensive Projection: Multiple Roles
2/16/20 Position Player
Hit: Smooth mover in the box prior to launch. Gets everything done early/never looks rushed. Level path with some lag. Rotational sequence up top and with lower half. Showcased all field abilities in BP. Young hitter that should see much more burst as he develops physically.
Power: Top rapsodo exit velocity was 77.8 mph in BP, while top rapsodo distance registered at 228 feet.
Offensive Projection: TBD.
Field: Uptempo pace in the outfield. Plays with confidence through, maintaining rhythm. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Tossed it to home plate with a top velocity of 81 mph. Above average strength for class.
Defensive Projection: Multiple Spots.
2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: High follow on the mound. Moves well and arm works. Stuff was above average across the board for class. Expect easy velo gains down the road.
Fastball: Heavy pitch, topped 78 mph, occasional arm side action.
Curveball: 69-71 mph, flashes high potential, well above average pitch, 11/5 shape.
Changeup: Playable third offering, fastball arm speed, good sell, late fade.
3/4/18
5-foot-5, 120 pound two way prospect throws right-handed off the mound from a higher ¾ arm slot and with average arm action. Produces a quicker paced tempo downhill. Mechanics flowed well together with nice actions. Fastball was thrown for strikes with some glove-side run at 63-65 mph. Curveball produced bigger break with average command at 53-56 mph. Changeup was 58-60 mph. Gets downhill well with nice force and intent. Offensively he swings it from the right side out of a wide stance showing quick hands. Produces an uphill bat path that got on plane with some pitches well. Generates positively energy well prior to contact. His exit velocity was 69 mph off the tee. In the outfield he plays fast too and through the baseball. Feet are athletic and aggressive. Displayed above average ball skills through fielding. Arm is loose, projecting for more strength with maturity and throws were on target.
