Bat speed is explosive, uses a loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach.

Chris Richmond: SS/2B, (2026) LaSalle, OH. 5-foot-3, 100-pound. At the plate, Richmond's best exit velocity was 69 mph. (48.6 mph bat speed average). (17.9 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a controlled short stride. Bat speed is developing efficient, displays a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels in his rounds. Line drive up the middle approach. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 57 mph. Athletic solid in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 66 mph; had athletic smooth footwork, a quick natural exchange, and consistent sure hands. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 69 mph; had athletic smooth footwork, soft sure hands, and a fluid exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Behind the plate, he recorded a position velocity of 57 mph during throw downs; recorded a pop time of 2.21-2.27. On the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle and a loose clean arm action. Drop-and-drive feel type pitcher. Threw his fastball 64-65 mph. Shows tailing action. Fielded the ball out front with athletic developing movement laterally.
