2/15/20 Position Player Hit: At the plate Burrows starts in an upright stance with his feet fairly narrow. He uses a leg kick to initiate his load. Gets his front foot down on time for the most but doesn’t really get into his back hip which makes it a little harder for him to get his barrel into the hitting zone. Shows a flat bat path. Top BP Exit Velocity: 81.5 mph Top BP Distance: 251 feet Offensive Projection: TBD Field: At 3B Burrows shows good rhythm and timing with slightly above average footwork. He shows good glove skills and instincts at the corner spot. Arm action is pretty clean and gets it out his hand fairly quick. Throw: 72 mph across the diamond. Defensive Projection: If arm strength can develop more, then 3B would be a better fit than 2B at the next level.
2/4/18
A right-handed hitter at the plate. Load is fluid and repatable, going with a knee pinch to get things started. Barrel gets to a strong launch position prior to taking a level path to the baseball. Shows twitch through the zone with much more pop than frame would indicate. Swing is efficient and any added strength should translate easily to pop. Line drive type guy presently. A good athlete behind the dish with quick feet. Exchange skills are average to slightly above average for class. Would like to see him stay lower as he has a tendency to pop up out of his crouch. Pop times will get better as arm strengthens with maturity.
60-yard dash: 7.75
Catcher Velocity: 65
Pop Times: 2.38-2.50
