8/10/21

Obvious tools led by his 82.6mph batspeed. The lefty bat has a short, simple stroke that doesn't require much effort to generate impressive pop. All field direction with mostly true spin. A lot to work with here, 96mph top EV, solid round. Also proved the bat can translate in game, posting a .500 BA through 3 games with several loud barrels. Defensively, he’s a guy that can play multiple spots with a more than likely corner profile.

2/21/21

David Dielman: 3B/RHP, (2022) Olentangy Liberty, OH. 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic frame. During batting practice, Dielman had an exit velocity of 91 mph. Started in an open athletic stance with a smooth quick load, then used a leg kick. Bat speed is above average and displays a level swing plane. Athletic in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 86 mph; has athletic developing feet, a clean exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.38. Projectable on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a quick arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Has an athletic balance point. Sat with his fastball at 85-87 mph; showed arm side control and running action. His changeup (80-82) has arm side command and fading action. Shows a 11/5 slider (74-77) with plus action.
