Dominic Perrine: OF/LHP, (2022) Nordonia, OH. 5-foot-11, 180-pound. During batting practice, Perrine had an exit velocity of 90 mph. Begins in a balanced active stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride. Had quick bat speed, simple upward swing plane and balanced finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 83 mph; shows sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. Ran a 4.08 30 yard dash.
Dominic Perrine: OF/OF, (2022) Nordonia, OH. 5-foot-11, 180-pound athletic frame. Began in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed was efficient, showed an upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 80 mph; had a natural exchange, firm hands, and consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a long arm action and a high ¾ slot. Clocked a 60 time of 7.06 at the event. Solid on the mound, threw from an over-the-top arm angle and had consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Curveball (66-68 mph), changeup (73-74 mph).Sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph.
2/15/20 Pitching Delivery Notes: On the mound Perrine creates good downhill leverage on his fastball through a high ¾ arm slot. Fastball: The fastball was 73-76 mph with average life through the zone. Fastball Spin Rate: 1600-1740 Curveball: His breaking ball was 65-67 mph with average life. Curveball Spin Rate: 1760-1820 Changeup: The changeup was 63-66 mph. 2/15/20 Position Player Hit: At the plate he uses a toe tap load and shows a good, balanced stroke. He gets his barrel through the zone well and shows an on plane bat path. Top BP Exit Velocity: 84.2 mph Top BP Distance: 278 feet Offensive Projection: Shows the potential to develop into a gap to gap threat as he matures and grows into his body and adds strength. Field: In the outfield he took average routes with decent footwork. At 1B he shows a good feel around the bag. Throw: 74 mph across the diamond and 78 mph from the outfield. Defensive Projection: TBD
