8/6/17

The left-handed pitching prospect brings an athletic, projectable build to the bump. Works into an uptempo pace as he come to his balanced position. Solid arm action with efficient whip. Gets everything out of his body with a high effort delivery. Offers a chest high leg kick into a strong back hip downhill drive toward the plate. Lands slightly open with a slight fall off to the third base side. Fastball had solid arm side run away from right-handed hitters. Worked both corners of the plate and wasn’t afraid to work inside with two strikes. A solid second offering was his curveball. Breaking ball broke at a 2/8 break. Comfortable throwing offspeed in any count, and mixed in offspeed well. Curveball was a good change of pace from the fastball. Expect a lot more from the prospect as he has more developing and maturing to do.

6/6/17
A left-handed pitching prospect in the 2018 class. A thinner frame with room to fill out. Arm is loose and fast. Will likely gain velo as he adds strength. Sat 76-79 mph on this day but we saw him 80-83 mph last week. Snaps off a very sharp 2/8 shaped breaking ball at 68-71 mph. The pitch was one of the better breaking balls at the event, consistently producing swing and misses. If velo continues to rise he has all the stuff to be very effective at the next level.

5/31/17
A right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced setup. Contact type hitter with a slightly uphill path. Creates solid energy with his lower half. Consistently found the barrel in batting practice. In the outfield he uses quick footwork and showed athletic actions. Plays through the baseball well and gets rid of it in a timely fashion. Throws showed some carry and were on target. Made an outstanding diving catch in the game. Two-way prospect.
