OF/RHP, (2024) Troy, OH. 6-foot-2, 160-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 85 mph. (66.2 mph bat speed average). (21.6 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Bat speed was quick, used a loose uphill swing plane and balanced finish. Solid in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 82 mph; has a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Recorded a time of 7.2 in the 60-yard dash. .
1/18/21
Hit: Balanced setup from the right side. Unlocks well, showing upper teens gs of rotational acceleration. Mostly downhill path. Expect more as he fills out frame. Middle of the field approach. Power: Line drive pop. Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Field: Showed solid lateral mobility off the bag at first base. Ball skills fit the position. Looks to have feel for the spot. Throw: Very loose arm that works well. Potential to really throw it down the road. Defensive Projection: 1B.
Delivery/Scouting Notes: High follow. Very projectable frame with a ton of room to add strength. Arm works well through a high-3/4 slot with looseness to it. Up to 78mph and radar gun will look much different before it's all said and done as physical maturation takes its course. Fastball: Mostly true through the zone. Potential for much more velocity. Breaking Ball: Sharp action with good spin. Pitch will easily sharpen up as he adds velo. Changeup: Serviceable third offering with potential. Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.
