Garrett Taulbee: RHP/1B, (2022) Felicity-Franklin, OH. 6-foot-3, 210-pound. Solid on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a long arm action while showing some arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows easy effort. Has a tall balance point. Lands square with a clean Jared Teke: RHP/C, (2022) Batavia, OH. 5-foot-10, 160-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 85 mph. Behind the plate, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 76 mph. showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.97-2.12. Recorded a 60 time of 7.33 at the event. On the mound, produced a fastball that came in at 84-86 mph and topped out at 86 mph. Curveball (72-75 mph), changeup (73-74 mph), slider (74-76 mph).
Garrett Taulbee: RHP/1B, (2022) Felicity-Franklin, OH. 6-foot-3, 210-pound physical frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 85 mph. Begins in a wide balanced stance with a quick controlled load, then uses a toe tap. Bat speed was above average, and showed an upward swing plane. Athletic while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 83 mph; shows a clean exchange, athletic feet, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. On the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed a strong balance point. Threw his fastball 83-86 mph; showed arm side command and running action. Threw a 11/5 curveball (72-73) with plus action. His changeup (74-75) has fading action and arm side command.
Scouting Notes: Good looking arm in the 2022 class. Physical presence out there at 6-foot-2, 220-pounds. Loose arm that flows through a high-3/4 slot. Tosses a heavy fastball that was up to 83mph.. Expect more velocity to come. Also showed feel for a breaking ball that had big shape to it. Nice wrinkle offering.
