Gavin Warden: C/3B, (2022) Johnstown Monroe, OH. 6-foot, 175-pound. Solid in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is efficient, displays a level swing plane and a back foot finish. He barreled up multiple balls during the round. Behind the plate, he made strong, efficient throws to second at velocities up to 79 mph; had soft hands, athletic footwork, and a fluid exchange. Displayed his ability to control the run game with a pop time of 1.88-2.00. Has narrow setup. Clocked a time of 7.18 in the 60-yard dash.
2/16/20 Position Player
Hit: Smooth, early mover in the box from the right side. Uses a toe turn timing trigger down low as hands flow to a strong launch position. Level path that runs into contact frequently. Physical dude that can generate easier jump off the barrel and flashed the ability to naturally backspin the baseball.
Power: Top rapsodo exit velocity was 86.9 mph in BP, while top rapsodo distance registered at 320 feet.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.
Field: Popped between 2.03-2.10. Quick feet behind the dish with average exchange skills. Minor things to clean up as a defender but has all the raw tools back there.
Throw: Velocity from the crouch topped at 74 mph. Above average arm for class/position.
