Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A good athlete with impressive frame. Swings it from both sides of the plate and looks to have enough feel and burst to continue to do both at the next level. Bat shows obvious strength and speed through the zone. Can get around the ball at times but shows natural backspin when barrel flows to the middle of the field. In the infield he has a middle skill set. Athleticism really shows out there covering more ground than most. Ball skills are also above average for class.
6-foot, 170-pound prospect. Wardwell had arguably the loudest tools of any prospect in attendance. Plays a solid shortstop, showing an above average skill set across the board. Reads the balll well off the bat, showing a quick first step and impressive lateral mobility. Actions are athletic and confident, with his glove skills staying on the move. Easily could have been listed under the top bats as well. Impressed in game and BP with his ability to swing it from both sides. A very promising prospect in the 2020 class.

6-foot, 170-pound prospect. Has gotten physically stronger since we saw him in the summer. Advanced actions for his class. Shows athleticism in his feet. Needs to consistently create angles towards first base. Good range with the ability to throw from different angles. Typically uses short arm action. Top velocity of 74 mph. Transfer will only get faster as he eliminates glove tap. A switch hitter that looked comfortable from both sides, while being slightly more advanced from the left. From the left side he uses a leg kick to initiate his loading sequence. Showed impressive strength through contact with well above average bat speed. Has some room to clean up his mechanics but the ball jumps off his bat when he finds the barrel. From the right side he uses a quieter approach mechanically, with a more fluid swing. Creates solid energy with his lower half and showed feel for the barrel.

5-foot-10, 155-pound prospect. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Looked the part in the infield with athletic actions and above average glove skills. Footwork is fluid but has room to improve prior to fielding the baseball. Threw across the infield with 67 mph arm strength. A switch hitter that is more advanced from the left side at this stage. From the left he uses a bat tip during his short stride forward. Bat gets through the zone with definite quickness. Similar approach from the right side but more simple. Exit velocity was 74 mph from the right and 80 from the left.
