1/16/21
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an upright setup. Uses a double tap timing trigger during back load to hands. Vertical barrel launch gives him a running start into contact. Natural tools are on par for class with above average physicality. Power: Flashed gap abilities. Offensive Projection: Middle ceiling. Field: Athletic feet with efficient angles in the infield. Ball skills are ahead of the curve for class. Athletic actions overall with a confident tempo. Throw: Clean arm with jump out of the hand. Defensive Projection: Corner guy.
Scouting Notes: 2023 out of Centerville. Physical presence on the mound. Fast armed righty that has a near 3/4 release. Good feel for his movement patterns. Fastball: Regular run and sink to the offering that was in the teens for induced vertical break. His top pitch at present and with that quality of movement is going to be a tough pitch for hitter from both sides of the plate. Breaking Ball: Breaking ball tunnels well with fastball. More depth than action at this stage. Slider was the better of the two breaking balls considering the added depth. Changeup: Developing feel for the offering. Good sell. Pitchability:
1/26/19 Body Type: 5-foot-3, 135-pound average build. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Works with an uptempo pace to a delivery that requires some effort. Offers long back arm action before coming through a high-¾ slot. Stil at beginning stages of physical maturity and should see more strength/arm speed with age. Fastball: 56-60 mph.Mostly true through the zone with slight arm side action at times. Curveball: 52-54 mph. 11/5 shaped bender with gradual action. Showed the ability to locate the offering in the zone often. Does a nice job maintaining arm speed on the offering. Pitchability: Fastball/breaking ball guy that has the ability to move both pitches around the zone. Role: TBD
1/26/19 Body Type: 5-foot-3, 135-pound average build. Swing Mechanics: Athletic load with well timed movements from the right side. Hit: Athletic swing with a playable path. Stays inside the baseball well, using the middle of the field in BP. Power: 70 mph exit velocity. Swing offers a bit more strength than speed but that could easily change down the road as he has much more physical maturation to come. Offensive Projection: TBD. Run: 5.97 H-1st. Field: First baseman with feel for the spot. Does a nice job of creating throwing lanes with feet on double play balls. Adequate ball skills. Throw: 61 mph arm strength across the diamond. Developing arm strength. Defensive Projection: TBD.
