7/09/19

Body type:  6-foot-1, 160-pound athletic frame.

Swing Mechanics:  Small leg kick with fluid rhythm.  His hands stay loaded through contact.

Hit:  Level bat path with a twitchy swing.  Good feel in the box.  Gets inside the baseball well, and goes go all fields.
Power: 86 mph off the bat in BP. Line drive guy that flashed gap.
Offensive Projection: Multiple Roles. Athlete with present hand speed and much more strength to come as he fills out frame.
Field:  Quick feet and a smooth transfer.  Good feel back there with good receiving and blocking skills for his class.
Throw:  Has developing arm strength with loose action.  Good from the knees, as well.
Defensive Projection:

1/30/18

A left-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Uses a fluid back load during his leg kick timing trigger. Showed a smooth, compact swing through the zone. Displayed feel for the barrel and the ability to generate backspin to both fields. Swing is efficient, projecting for much for pop with physical maturity. An outfield there reacts well off the bat, showing a quick first step. Remains athletic as he plays low through the baseball. Moves through fielding efficiently into his pro step. Arm strength is developing. In the infield he uses quick footwork and moves light on his feet. Glove looks to be an above average tool and he has a smooth transfer. Skill set looks to play best at second base presently. Brings athleticism to the catcher position but will need to keep refining skill set. His biggest opportunity for improvement would be clean up transfer skills.

6/28/16
5-foot-6, 110-pound thin, athletic frame. At the plate he is very efficient mechanically and should see an increase to his 69 mph exit velocity as he matures physically. Creates energy with his lower half through a toe turn load. Hands stay simple before taking a quick path to the ball. Ran an 8.92 60-yard dash. Behind the plate he showed adequate footwork and transfer skills. Will need to keep quickening both as he matures. Pop times ranged from 2.26-2.34 and he threw with 57 mph arm strength to second base.

3/19/16
5-foot-7, 105-pound prospect. Small frame. Reached a top velocity of 56 mph from the crouch. Needs to continue developing arm strength for the position. Average speed to this transfer. Pop times sat at 2.59 to 2.60. The young left-handed hitter had an impressive round of batting practice, showing the ability to consistently create backspin on his line drives. Using a small leg kick he was able to create good forward energy into contact. During his stride forward he takes his hands back to stay balanced before firing the bat through the zone on a level path. Reached a top exit velocity of 58 mph off the tee with much more in the tank. Very mechanically sound in the outfield with the ability to maintain momentum through his fielding position into his throws. Was able to throw accurately with 60 mph arm strength to home plate.
